Re: quagmire got married?!
Mon, March 13, 2006 - 1:07 PMAnd I think looking at Peter while bending over in the Daisy Dukes would be even more painfull and blinding as looking at an A-Bomb going off . -

Re: quagmire got married?!
Mon, March 13, 2006 - 4:18 PMEpisode highlights (IMO):
1) The Great Space Coaster. I nearly died laughing when I saw that bit.
2) Quagmire tamed - ugh, it's similar to if Pepe Le Pew became a spokesman for NOW.
3) The Quagmire death tape. Who doesn't love a wheelchair bound ninja, an African American nazi, and a plastic dinosaur?
4) Peter winning on 'Wheel of Fortune'. Alex Karras on Webster? -

Re: quagmire got married?!
Mon, March 13, 2006 - 11:14 PMthe best scene was how Peter brought Quagmire back to his senses with Lois' engorged breasts, spilling water on them, and then shaking her dry. That was all around a great episode. -

Re: quagmire got married?!
Wed, March 15, 2006 - 3:54 PMI checked the web:
The Great Space Coaster ran from 1981-1986.
The theme song gets stuck in your head.
Family Guy, for this reference alone, has my loyalty! -

Re: quagmire got married?!
Wed, March 15, 2006 - 4:26 PMi've tried to find videos of that show all over the internet to no avail. the only thing that is somewhat around is a movie that was done, but even it is out of print and hard to find. i'd love to go back and see some old episodes. anybody have any, by chance? -

Re: quagmire got married?!
Thu, March 16, 2006 - 5:56 AMI was watching this episode with my girl, (she's 10 years younger than me) and I had to explain what a "Coleco Vision" was. she had never heard of it. Makes me feel old, I remember when it was the "X-Box" of its day. what with the exclusive "Smurfs" game and all -
-
Re: quagmire got married?!
Thu, March 16, 2006 - 10:59 AMmy girlfriend doesn't like FG at all and I think one of the main reasons is that she misses many of the references. She's 8 years younger than I am. If she had watched, I guarantee she wouldn't have known what a Coleco Vision is either. -

Re: quagmire got married?!
Thu, March 16, 2006 - 8:25 PMI know people who have never seen Star Wars.. isn't that required?
The references are just too choice. *sigh* brilliant

Re: quagmire got married?!
Thu, March 16, 2006 - 9:28 PMThere were so many points in this epidose where I nearly lost all bodily control. Being blindsided by the "Coaster" flashback was the highlight of the episode. But who remembers when you actually went shopping for prizes on Wheel of Fortune? There's another reference that goes back to about pre-1984. He even remembered the ceramic dalmatian...
This episode goes in my book as one of the best yet.
Seth, you are a comedic genius. What 25-year-old memory will you stir up next week?
