is family guy slipping a little bit? the only parts that i thought were semi-humorous were stewie's war for the playground.
i felt that lois and peters scenes were vulgar just to be vulgar instead of being vulgar with a reason. i guess that's family guy's intentions though. if they offend someone, they're successful. the episode didn't offend me but i felt it wasn't that funny.

Mon, March 27, 2006 - 12:48 PMYa, last nights episode was definitely "semi-humorous". I don't think the show is slipping, they just had a bad episode. -

Re: slipping?
Mon, March 27, 2006 - 2:43 PMi agree with you. i agree it's not really slipping but the past few episodes have had sequences where they write something in just because they can, not because it would garner some laughs. -

Mon, March 27, 2006 - 10:17 PMumm I don't know which episode you guys were watching, but I thought this was one of the better ones this season. The barbershop quartet bit was easily the funniest from this or possibly any season.

Re: slipping?
Tue, March 28, 2006 - 12:45 PMOMG, I thought this was one of the greatest episodes yet! Without a doubt it had my favorite line...
(A lesbian couple enter a sperm bank to choose a donor) "Yeah, we want some sperm and an applicator that looks like Jodie Fosters knuckles."
I fell on the floor and laughed for two minutes solid. How do they get away with this stuff?!? -

I was on the floor laughing at this one. I actually had to explain it to my girlfriend's somewhat naive roommate, which was even funnier.

Re: slipping?
Tue, October 10, 2006 - 4:29 PMI rarely get to watch the current season`s episodes (come ooooonnnnn.....4th season DVD!) and did not see last night`s show.
I am only responding because I also get the feeling that FG seems to be not as funny as before. There were some current season shows that were hysterical, hower. I plan on buying the 4th season all the same. Still a great show but the longer a show runs the harder it must be to write consistantly funny material. Just my take.
