On Friday Sept. 28, I got the pleasure of seeing Seth at the University of Missouri-Columbia in Columbia, MO. He was amazing. Very comparable to Kevin Smith in my book. Very funny and worthe every penny. Even though he did show up late, we got to preview this last sunday's Family Guy before it aired, and it had a bonus bit in it. I could only find one link on YouTube, but Seth wanted to keep it in the show. Was arguing with Fox about it. Had the Simpsons banner on the bottom, Marge comes out, then Quagmire comes out and starts trying to make out with her. They end up going off the side of the screen and then come back. Quagmire says 'See, that wasn't so bad, was it.' Marge agrees and he says 'How bout we go back to your place for round 2?' She agrees and it pans to a picture of the Simpsons house. You hear Marge comment something about having sex 3 times in a row and Quagmire states he is just proud of what he does. The light in the bedroom flips on, Homer screams and says get off my wife. You hear a bang. Then Marge goes 'You shot my Homey!' Another bang. Then Bart says 'Aye carumba! You shot my mom and dad!' Then bang again. Then Lisa says 'Oh no, now who's going to pay for my saxophone lessons?!?' Another bang. Then you hear Maggie's pacifier sucking noise. Pause for a minute, then another bang. Very crazy, but glad to see it made the net. If he's coming anywhere close to you, go see him.

I definately enjoy FG more than AD but I just picked up the AD First series on DVD for the heck of it. After you watch it a bit you stop comparing it to FG it ends up being pretty darn funny. Many similarities (animation, duh) between AD and FG in both writing and production (music, scenes, etc.) but if you like FG you are going to like AD.

LOS ANGELES -- Carol Burnett has filed a $2 million copyright infringement lawsuit against 20th Century Fox, claiming her cleaning woman character was portrayed on the animated series "Family Guy."

The Los Angeles federal court suit filed Thursday said the Fox Broadcasting show didn't have her permission to include her cleaning woman character Charwoman in an April 2006 episode.

The episode shows Charwoman as a porno shop maid and it uses what the lawsuit calls an "altered version" of Burnett's theme music. Her suit said the characters in the show also perform Burnett's signature ear tug.

Besides copyright infringement, the 73-year-old comedian alleges 20th Century Fox violated her publicity rights. The suit said Fox refused demands to edit the show to remove the scene.

The studio said it is surprised by the suit over what amounted to about an 18-second scene.

The humor and the wit of this show are hard to describe without actually having watched it. At first I liked it but not overly so. Once I knew and understood the characters better, FG was even more funny than before. Everyone that I have introduced to the series has become a big fan. Some of the jokes and references go unnoticed by the younger viewers( like my kids).A very clever and well-done show!

last night (4/5) on south park they used family guy. it was one of better episodes of south park in a long time. in case you are unfamiliar with the show, last season, south park made fun of scientology, a religion made famous by tom ruise and l. ron hubbard. the show was subsequently pulled from further repeats by viacom, the showw producer and producer of tom cruise's new movie.

last night episode had south park making fun of the situation. they used family guy and said they were making fun of religion by showing a pic of mohammed, and offending people, so the town wanted the episode pulled. the show will re air all weekend comedy central. check local listings for times.

but they did a sequence that was just pure family guy, with them all sitting around and doing little flashbacks. it wasnt the family guy voices, but it was awesome. if you can check it out

By Thomas K. Arnold

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - "Family Guy" creator Seth MacFarlane is preparing his long-awaited direct-to-DVD movie based on the exploits of his cartoon clan for a Sept. 27 release.

"It's been an enormous undertaking to juggle this with doing 35 new episodes of the show, but we think it turned out great," MacFarlane said of the film, his first full-length feature, and the first direct-to-video ever made off a television franchise.

The 83-minute, unrated "Family Guy Presents Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story" ($29.98) is based on the animated series MacFarlane created for Fox Television in the late 1990s. The irreverent series, aimed at adults rather than kids, went on the air in early 1999 and was canceled in 2003, only to be resurrected last month after an overwhelming demand for the show on DVD.

The first DVD set sold more than 2.5 million units, the second-highest sales tally of any TV-DVD release behind the first season of "Chappelle's Show," and two subsequent packages lifted the "Family Guy" franchise's total sales to about 4.5 million units.

That prompted Fox to take the unprecedented step of bringing back the show. The new season debuted in May and has since featured a bevy of guest voices, including Drew Barrymore, Jessica Biel, Jennifer Tilly and Adam West.

"Family Guy Presents Stewie Griffin" is something of a thank you to the show's fans who bought so many DVDs, MacFarlane said. "Fox had such a great amount of success with the previous DVD releases that I think they felt there was a built-in, surefire market for a 'Family Guy' DVD," he said. "It's also a lot easier to put out a DVD release than it is a theatrical film while you're doing a television series."

The movie finds Stewie, the maniacal baby genius, having a near-death experience that prompts him to change his ways. Instead of seeking to dominate the world, he sets out on a road trip to find his real father.

Guest vocal talent includes Barrymore and Ron Livingston, as well as three cast members of "Beverly Hills, 90210" -- Jason Priestley, Jennie Garth and Tori Spelling -- "in a special gag," MacFarlane said.

The DVD will include several special features, including deleted scenes, still galleries, animatics and a commentary from MacFarlane.

"We also sandwiched special features around the movie," he said. "It begins with an animated movie premiere, with the family arriving to watch it, and then there's an after-party at the end."

20th Century Fox Home Entertainment is planning the biggest marketing campaign ever for a TV-spawned release, according to division worldwide president Mike Dunn. Plans include national print and TV advertising as well as a viral marketing campaign targeting college students at bars, clubs and fraternity parties; special screenings will be held for college students.

Gilligan's Island centered around a group of people who where stranded on an uncharted deserted island somewhere in the Pacific Ocean. They all were on a boat tour, which found itself in the middle of a storm leading them to crash on an island! Those stranded include, Gilligan, the Skipper, a millionaire (Thurston Howell III) and his wife (Lovey Howell), a movie star (Ginger Grant), a professor (known as "The Professor"), and Mary Ann. Gilligan was the first mate on the boat, the SS Minnow. Most episodes dealt with the castaways trying to get off the island, but their attempts seemed to always be foiled by Gilligan. less
